Brilliant Bettina

Ok quick post to tell you about the brilliant Curvy Bettina Liano jeans I got yesterday (maybe because I needed jeans and maybe to wear for coffee with certain person of whom I will be seeing again shortly).

Anyway these jeans are magic. They fit so well (although this is not the most flattering photo -  I badly tucked my shirt into my jeans this evening after remembering I wanted to take pictures while getting half undressed so I think that explains the bumps). I have never felt so good (or just say it Fi, "sexy") in a pair of jeans in my life. I have a small bum (thanks dad) and always have major sag factor in pants. These even make mine look good. The photo of my bum is only to demonstrate the brilliance of these jeans. I would not normally post pictures of my posterior. Oh and they don't fall down. Bend and they stay where they are supposed too. No "belt looping" required.

It is just so good to finally start to feel great in clothes. The shirt tucked into jeans look is something I have been wanting to try for ages. I am so sold. And the shirt was basically free (another new purchase) as I purchased it with vouchers (that I got for using my credit card - is that still free??).

Also the service at the Bettina Liano store was exceptional. I was served by Sally at the Claremont store and she was so friendly and helpful. She took one look at me and was able to give me the right size and know that the skinny leg would look the best (apparently too much fabric around the knee and shin is not so flattering on us shorties). Sally knew so much about the product and really seemed like she loved it. I will definitely be going back and get the black on the future (after I have saved up a bit - they are a bit pricey). Oh and I totally stole the "belt looping" thing from her.

There should be a law that every girl should own a pair of these jeans. Word on the street (or from the BT sales assistant) is that they flatter any body shape and even the thin girls are after them.

So basically a HUGE recommendation from me.

Perhaps I need to cuff them if I wear kitten heels or flats in future.

Shiny Bum!! We had lighting/flash problems.

I love the detail of this top. Floral that anyone could pull off. I find it hard to do sometimes, despite my fervent admiration all these floral.

Stunning Seymours

This what I sported at work yesterday. Why I decided to put together the two pieces from my wardrobe where wrinkles decide to go to die on is beyond me. At least I added a little colour to the dreary day.

Haha, Hi L.

Note the "I am so over today" smile.

Note the mug in the sink. Someone may have left it in their room so long, it grew mould. It was not me. Promise.

Top - Country Road
Skirt - Sussan
Tights - Target
Shoes - Nude Footwear
Belt - Sportscraft
Wrinkles - nature

Oh and some pretties arrived in the mail today. I am on a spending ban so this elation must last me a while. They are so precious, I have not decided whether I will wear them or not yet. Certainly not in this current weather. Original Mr Seymour (Stew's dad - here for further reading). Circa -  god knows when. Anyone have an idea? I will have to pull out my fashion books to see if I can decipher the era from the toe shape.

Oh My ...

... Gad

And look at the box they came in. Not the original I am sure but so quaint.

PS. I am so sorry to anyone who read my paragraphs before I justified them. Bad Fi. I can not stand paragraphs that are not justified. I think this may be a law school thing though. We got marks off if we did not justify. It gives me great pleasure to whisper "Justi-fie" when I click that neat little box.... I never said I wasn't a nerd.

Lovely Lunch Lady

How good does my lunch look today. Thanks C for assembling this for me. I may even forgive you for your recent impertinence. I will provide office wide lunch ingredients everyday if I get this in return:

Oh and look at my cheery shoes. So much cuter knowing they only cost me $30.

I feel so lost and alone not being able to receive or send comments. Blogger please lift your game. Post haste. And please don't delete my blog for my own impertinence. Can they even do that? I will never know if my readers cannot comment and they me know!

Beautiful Barkin Bargains

While house sitting what three weeks ago now, I very diligently took photos of my outfits. Large house, good lighting, lots of places to rest my camera, a full length mirror (for when I finally figured out how to turn my flash off) and a pretty garden were all very inducing factors to take pics.

At present, freezing weather, an entire work wardrobe in dire need of either a clean or an iron, absence of stylish young whippersnapper  (to borrow the term from the honorable FF) to "impress" and lack of care factor means work outfits are not worth a mention. For reference, today I am wearing an ill fitting Cue suit handed down from big sister circa 2003, a tatty see-through blouse with no undershirt (as I decided to forgo the ten minute search to find one in favour of getting back into bed and playing with my iPhone for a while) and a cardigan that clashes with my blouse. Sometimes it is just too hard.

Anyway, at the bottom of my laundry pile are these two dresses that I liked to show you. Both are from Barkins, I shop I have advocated in the past. Combined they cost $85. I think they are very fine and dandy. Click here if interested in purr-chasing.

WARNING: Do not be deceived by the cute little face of the doggie who joins me in these pics. This dog and her big brother "play fight" hard. All over the house and all over the person sitting on the couch. I still have the bruises to prove it!!

Dress Number One. Flintstone print dress. $49.95

Puppy 2 appears to have her game face on. I bet Puppy 1 is growling at her over to the right. I don't remember as this photo was taken before coffee and my brain would have been rendered useless.

Puppy 2, now distracted from play fighting, has decided to check out the crazy shenanigans "stranger who feeds us" is up too. Puppy 2 is confused.

Puppy 1 and 2 are now sitting quietly in the corner mocking my narcissism. They are very intellectually advanced for their ages.

Dress - Barkins

random space, brought to you by Blogger

Tights - crappy $5 ones Coles that laddered the second puppy licked my toe
Shoes - Nude Footwear, accidentally won on eBay but were a pleasant surprise

Dress Number Two. Shadow Print Dress. SALE $34.95

Puppies were used to photo taking by this time. This photo proves the ill effect running around on bitumen after litte Fi-clone cousin has on new shoes. They look positively squashed and this was the third time I ever wore them.

I love the pattern. Maybe a little tight at the bust just now. Look how shiny my face is and scraggly my hair is.

Dress – Barkins
Cardigan – Rodarte for Target
Shoes – RMK
Tights – Target, 2 for $7

Hooroo. Off to do the work dishes as secretary feels she is too good to do them. Not that I am bitter or nothing.

Saturday Sillys - part three

I just spent the last three hours listing eight items on eBay. The problem with having an online shopping/eBay obsession is that sometimes you get things that are just not quite right. You say to yourself "It is alright, I can just return it or re-sell it on Ebay", but you forget and the return time ends or just never get around to listing stuff and the item sits in the wardrobe gathering dust and going unloved.

There is a skit in Gilmore Girls about this. At Friday night dinner, Emily questions the girls about online shopping and they end up agreeing with her (it is kinda hard not too) that going to a real shop is more rewarding after all. I should learn from this .... but I won't. I bet L and G didn't either. They would love the Outnet I bet. Shame it came after their time. I miss those girls. Anywho, Shopping requires effort, and walking, silly small talk and putting up with snotty "Shop-girls" giving you the evil eye.

Listing is soo irritating and time consuming. Grrr. Hopefully my stuff sells.

Does not it just look riveting! I barely watched Prada except Meryl and Simon's scenes.

So much for finishing my lengthy To Do list. Saturday always goes so quickly!

Saturday Sillys - part one

Three pairs of Mileno shoes - leather and wide enough to fit my hobbit sized feet and bunions - for under $100. Thank you ozsale. I take back all the nasty things I was saying about you the other day. If you send my uggs post haste I will love you forever. It was apparently zero degree last night. And they say Perth doesn't get cold. Damn I miss my fat sometimes!

Shoes :-)

Must be a good day because I even snagged the lady at the post office so was not privy to the disparaging comments from post office man. How does he know I am not buying things for my business or my family or that everything I buy is a bargain! Damn you Mr Post Office Man for making me second guess myself. Hmm do you think I have buyers remorse much?

Toodleloo. Off to get some new bras as I can fit my whole fist into my bra and still some. Nigella and Winona are asking for some more support. And terror upon terror, I have no idea what size I am. This has never happened to me in my life. I berate girls who do not know what size they are!

Toki by Tony

I may also have bought myself these boots as a birthday present  (that was the excuse I told myself about the red ones). But when Tony Bianco are having a sale and I can use my 30% Birthday code on top, how am I meant to resist.

Since starting this "new" job, my shoe collection has seriously grown tenfold. The Boss and her daughter have THE MOST AMAZING shoe collections. I should try and snap pictures for you and do a week in retrospect. I may have been a little influenced just a little by them. But as they say, shoes fit and look good no matter what size you are. Ok so I may actually be a whole shoe size smaller when I am thin, but hey, lets not think about that. Hmm, I want to watch "In Her Shoes" now.

Though I must say, the book is better. Although I am excited for when Good in Bed gets made.. if it ever does. The whole losing excessive amounts of weight may pose a challenge, I don't want them to use a thin actress in a fat suit. Luckily I don't think Jenny would go for that either. Maybe Brooke Elliot? Have you seen Drop Dead Diva? If not, watch it. It is brilliant.

I recently saw someone do a post on the shoes they have purchased in the last six months. I think if I did this, I would give myself a heart attack. I never buy anything full price though... I promise. I might just need those tan clogs Sportsgirl has brought out though. But for another forty bucks I could get some tan Funkis.... Oh decisions decisions.

Hmm... did I use bought and brought correctly? Oh well, whatever if I haven't. Drugs have gone to head and I can't think anymore...

See ya later
