Frump-Girl Fi

This is what I wore today. It is pretty frumpy but I don't care. For some odd reason I always sway on the frumpy side when it comes to casual clothes. I fancy myself six feet tall and able to pull of that effortless chic just-threw-on-some-jeans-and-a-tee-and-look-fab-darling look (hmm I think I got my stereotypes wrong, effortless chics don't say darling do they?? I am listening to my Pride and Prejudice audiobook and Ms Bingley was just on). I am trying to teach myself that 1. I am not six foot tall with legs that go on forever, 2. At 25, I never will be and 3. I should embrace my frumpy stumpy 5 foot self nevertheless.

So Frump Girl it is.

Don't you just love it when John says "I don't remember Frump Girl, but I remember you". Sigh. I have a HUGE celebrity crush on Nia Vardalos. It's weird I know. I even follow her on Twitter and it lights my day when she updates. She is such a sweetie and regardless what people say, I think she is very talented and gorgeous. The My Life in Ruins DVD is on the top of my "To Buy" list.

Anywho, this is what I wore on my exciting trip to work this afternoon which resulted in me doing a coffee run and only ticking one thing off my endless "To Do" list. In hindsight it is very Geek Chic. In reality I built this from the socks up and grabbed anything I could find that was clean (although it appears not ironed) and relatively comfy.

Shakuhachi Panda Tee
Lovely Girl Spotted Cardigan
Sportsgirl Jeans
Socks ($7 for two from some place in Harbourtown)
Funkis Clogs

I missed the Meemo (haha I HATE it when people pronounce it that way) about short girls not wearing cuffed boyfriend jeans. I wanted to show off my new socks and shoes though. And these jeans are too long anyway and need to be cuffed dammit.

No it is not reversible dammit. Umm, where did this anger come from? I was so shiny before.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
There is the shine back again.
The Panda is trapped :-( Call the RSPCA

..............................

Pissing myself now. I never fail to keep myself entertained. I am so lame. This is tres hilar in my  books. Small things for small minds they say. I think I have gone a little crazy from lack of exercise this weekend. I am about to rejoin Elizabeth at Mr Bingley's house while she nurses Poor Jane (yes I have gone back to the start if you remember from my earlier post), and go for a walk. Toodles

PS. LOOK WHAT I GOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (OK I know this irks people so I will limit it despite my purchance)

Olive in a jar!!!!!!! (oops sorry) I am in heaven. Going to add this to my greek burger patty mix tonight.

Clicking Clogs Complete Coco

Ok so I may not actually be Coco (that is sissy's nickname, I was never cool enough for anything other than Fi - or the dreaded Fifi which I can't stand - I am not a dog - although I do currently have a dog staring in at me from the window). But Coco it is for today.

Anyway I am so rooted right now. Had soo much to drink last night and didn't get to sleep until 3am. I saw the Sex and the City movie last night which I really enjoyed (as unlike a lot of people when it comes to movies, I took it for what it was). We were very classy and snuck some Malibu and DC into the cinema to last us the 2 hour 26 mins marathon. We also had a "bag platter" with olives, cheese, salsa, dried apricots and biccies. All class, all the way we are. I also got to lie down while watching (not that it takes much with my little legs - two chairs will suffice) so was very comfortable. Anyway the movie finished at 1am and then we just had to come back here and watch some old episodes (when dare I say, Carrie looked good - which is weird because I think SJP looked great in Did You Hear About the Morgans? - the other gals all look better with age).

The good thing about styling in advance is that you don't have to think of an outfit when you are rushing out the door. So I wore my pink dress, vest and boot combo I posted last week. The dress is much shorter and tighter then I am used too. And yes, my friend and I did stand around taking photos of each other with our phones. We can't help but be Woo girls once in a while.

Hm so now I am awake with one killer heado and a desperate need for more sleep but it is not happening.

Therefore I decided to blog about my new clogs (after hacking into my friends wifi on the my phone - it was not hard - the password is now growling at me as I type). It is love. I think we may marry if I can get them to sign a BFA.

Funkis Clogs looking stunning with my Mitch Dowd PJ Bottoms

Oh and I broke the dieting so I am dreading my weigh in on Tuesday. You only live once though right, and I need a day off every now and then (and by "broke" I mean, I had 2 pieces of pizza, a piece of bruschetta and a Baci - travesty huh).

Friday Follies

This is actually what I wore on Thursday but I didn't get around to posting it.

Please excuse the awful morning kitchen photos.

Witchery Skirt
Witchery Top
Supre 7 Way Cardigan
Scarf from India
Random Tights
Dotti Belt
Stewart Weitzman Shoes

This was Friday's outfit.

Sportsgirl Top
Country Road Dress (Ebay - have you looked yet, tut coming soon)
Random Tights
Bare Feet

Do you think my mouth accessory will be a new trend?

Reach Toothbrush

And to welcome me home last night, some goodies waiting for me (although Mr Postman we are going to have talk about this whole shoving my parcels into the tiny mailbox when they can just be left on top like they are half of the time).

I always forget I have a SHOP subscription so it is always a treat when it arrives. As my bedroom light blew, I attempted to read this by torchlight before I went to sleep last night but it was difficult so a cuppa and relaxing time is required later today.

My Stews came. And they are even prettier than I thought they'd be. Not as bright as this picture makes one think though, I just can't turn the flash off my (crappy no wonder parents "gave" it to me, takes photos even when it is pretending the battery is dead) camera.

This is why I love shopping on Etsy. So sweet.

And I maybe have a few parcels waiting for me at the LPO. I am going to be judged BIG TIME for this. The Post Master doesn't even need to look at my red and yellow slip or my ID, he just gets it down from the shelf when he sees me walking in and gives it to me (usually with a "witty" comment attached). I dread going to the Post Office but alas it must be done so I can get my goodies.

I don't even know what is waiting for me......

And a random photo that uploaded with the rest. Twas very funny when I noticed how chic the Camphor looked hanging there between MKA.

Worthless wondering while we welcome the weekend

1. Why do people look at their clock/watch when you ask them whether they would like a tea or coffee? Surely they just need to listen to their body.

2. Why do I smile for the pictures that I am going to put on my blog when I am just going to cut my head off?

3. What is the point of plastic bandaids when they NEVER stay on?

4. Why is it so much harder to get your work done when you know there is long weekend coming up?

5. Why is that top from the Barkins Sale sold out when it is truly the only thing I really wanted out of the 13 items in my cart? Check it out here for some great BARGAINS.

6. Why have not you popped on over to Jess’s blog yet where she is having a great giveaway? Why not give her some support in her weight loss journey?

7. Why is every girl on this list, apart from one, a stick figure?

8. Why is it that I can only think of words that start with "W" for my alliterated titles?

9. Why am I sitting here writing this list when I could be getting my work done to enable me to finally go home and start my long weekend?

AND............

10. Why on earth am I walking around the office in this stylish outfit?

Second Shot

So despite it being like less than 24 hours ago I feel like I have not updated this thing in donkeys. I thought I'd also give this app another shot.

I am currently at the coffee shop (with two f's not three Fi!) waiting in the long line in fear of getting a ticket as I was totally scant on the coin front so I thought I would take the time to say hi. Hi! Sorry if you missed me.

Yay have coffee now!

Large (jumbo if they have it) skinny cap if you are ever passing and feel like dropping in with a treat for me. What? You don't know where I live or work? Then why am I sharing my most intimate thoughts with you?

Ok so now I am at HBF. Is not this blogging on the go exciting!

Now to what you really care about. Clothes (assuming you are not Linda who is such a good friend she follows my blog regardless of it's contents - haha). Here is a teaser. Steering wheel chic.

Can you guess want I am wearing? Surprisingly it is a long sleeve top under a dress, tights and .... wait for it ... flats. Had to don the flatties so the Prosthodontist would not tell me off again (OK anymore than he did - while we were standing talking, he kept exclaiming "defensive" and pointing at me every time I crossed my arms or stuck my hip out - he really is a lovely man though and he will eventually be responsible for me having some lovely teeth).

I am sporting a pony today with this lovely lackey adornment (for no other reason than (or then?) it was the only lackey I could find). FF would be proud.

Even prouder when she hears I am awaiting my Moroccanoil in the mail to deal with those fly away.

Anyway I am finally at work now.

Only forty five minutes late but who is counting.

Anywho I hope you enjoyed joining me an my mornings excursion.

iLove iPhone

Just thought I'd share and try out my new blogger App. I think I need to review it for you later.

Anyone have any suggestions for Applications I MUST have?

Now back to work Missy. First I need a snack though...

Edited not using BlogPress as I can't figure how too and as I am an atrocious speller (ie. it took me about three goes to get that right) I needed to come on through the computer and fix it :-)

Twirling, Twitter, Terribly Tired and Tea Time

Sorry in advance, I am tired so I don’t feel like being witty or interesting. Not that I am saying I am usually witty or interesting, it's just that I am not even able to put effort into trying to be so.

There are people in the office across me (that is in the next building not the next cubicle) doing aerobics. Before it was star jumps and now it is squats with weights. It is terribly off putting when one is trying to work.. cough. I guess that puts to rest my query as to whether they can see me when I strip starkers to get my swimmers on. I always work off the rule that if I can see them, then they can see me. This is a lesson learnt after many years of believing that if I squinted so I could not see out the window past my bed post, then the bogeyman standing man outside would know see I was in my bed. Although perhaps the fact that there is room enough for them to be running around means there is no actual office there and the fact that I have never seen these exercisers before means that have not seen me in the past. My head hurts.

Maybe from all the twirling I did in this dress today.

I left the house unaware there was a giant hole in the back of my tights today. Classy in the front, trashy high school girl who thinks holes are cool in the back. Please note I was not one of those girls. There was never knots tied, staples affixed or nail polish applied to my holes. I left them as they were and spent the rest of the day obsessing over how awful it looked. I then went home, was berated for mum for being clumsy and bought non-uniform shop tights from Woollies for the rest of the year (between you and me the non-uniform tights were not the exact same colour as the uniform shop ones so they totally made me look worse than the trashy girls - I would have preferred the ripped ones I think). Bet you didn't think that much could be read into holey tights huh.

Anyway enough about my tortured childhood. In other news, I ordered the work coffee via twitter today. I may have done it twice, one private message and one @ message as I was not convinced they got the private message, but I did it. And it was weird. Tweeting has not really taken off here in Perth. Out of the fifty odd people I follow (haha just checked and its 103), I only actually know 4 of them (including the coffee shop). Now given this fact, I think it is pretty brave of this coffee shop to embrace Twitter as it has. They have mini laptop and a flat screen above the counter and everything. I have been assured a bell goes off every time they get a Tweet too so they don't miss an order. Now answer this. What is wrong with walking into the coffee shop, ordering and waiting a few minutes for it to be made. Or better still, picking up the phone, dialling the number and speaking to the coffee shop people. Maybe I have just not been won over by Twitter yet. Celebrity babble and banter, yes. Glee kids (do tell, is it just the actors having fun or do they actually hire people to tweet for the characters?) daily run downs, yes. Using it as a way to make us even more lazy and uncommunicative  .... not sure. And I will sure need more than 140 characters to explore this one.

Just a little something for you to think about.

I just had me some Healthy Nachos for dinner.

This is what I started with.

And this is what I finished with. Yum Yum.

This is how you make it if you are interested:

Cept I added avocado too.

Anywho, I am off to scoff some licorice allsorts and maybe get an early night for once.

Piece.

What we wore, what we will wear and well wishes

This is what I wore today. I hardly ever wear pants but I found these in the top of my cupboard and they fit again (YAY) so I am giving them a go. Loving this top I got in the mail yesterday. The service from Coco Lee is fab. I emailed them on Friday night at about 11pm because my order had not arrived (they said 1 to 2 days) and when I doubled checked I noticed I had not paid for shipping so I inquired whether this was holding it up and whether it needed rectifying. By the time I got up on Saturday I had already got an email from The Nedahl (star-struck) of Nedahl's Blog, letting me know there was a slight delay and it had been posted Thursday. Then a follow up email from customer service on Monday letting me know I was all good with shipping costs as it was free seeing I spent over a certain amount.  I love it when online shopping goes smoothly :-)

Moss&SpyTop
Cue Pants
RMK Heels

And this is what I have decided to wear tomorrow. Another from the Coco Lee parcel. I never lay my clothes out for the morning and this usually results in me and my wardrobe arguing so I am trying something new for once.

Target Top
Moss&SpyDress

And on another note that is not all about me for once, my house mate slash best friend is having a little surgery tomorrow so I just wanted to take the time to say Good Luck, Best Wishes, I'll be thinking of you and all that jazz.

Here are a few of your favourite things that will hopefully take your mind off it for a millisecond.

Love Ya Cabbage :-)

Coinkidink Clothing

Umm, was I not just imagining this very piece of clothing the other day? OK so it was skirt. But... Navy. Tick. A-line. Tick. Large white bicycles. Tick.

In other news, Anthropologie now ships to Australia. DANGER.

You know what? I am tempted. Even if the Purse Forum ladies think it is “horrible”. They are just so pretty.

Not as pretty as this though.
