Fidgeting Fi

Okay so I have not done a real post in a while. Not for lack for trying though. I have about six half written posts in draft, I have just not gotten around to finishing them.

This is the story of my life.

I have a very short attention span. I can’t stay still. And of late, I am finding it very hard to complete anything.

I spent three hours doing my tax the other night only to give up before the end as I needed to ask my dad something but he was asleep. Now I won’t lodge my return for another two weeks until he gets back from NZ.

My work to-do list is filled with about twenty pieces of work which are half done. These all need to be done by today but here I am writing this instead. Having too many things to do (regardless of the fact they will only take a few minutes to complete) stresses me out. So I don’t finish them.

A couple of weeks ago, I cleaned my room and sorted stuff into lots of different bags but the bags are still sitting on my bedroom floor.

This picture of my bed shows that I still haven’t finished adorning the final half of my bedhead. I started this in about February 2009.

So this is why I have not posted so much of late. I need to give myself a kick in the butt and finish my posts. Maybe. One Day.
Anywho... This is what I am wearing today. An outfit post?? How novel (sp??). The only thought that went into this outfit is.... I now have nothing that does not need ironing and this dress looks the least wrinkled of a bad lot.....

Ironing and washing is something else I never around to doing.

Please excuse my shiny face and frizzy hair.

And don't look at my little finger please.

I luv-uv ruffles

Oh no, I have bugs on me!!

Dress - Country Road
Singlet underneath - Country Road
Cardigan - MinkPink
Shoes - Stuart Weitzman for Mr Seymour Shoes
Belt - Kloset (love this – look at the cute bugs!!)

Better view of the belt

In other news, I just got an email informing me these beauties are in store at Frockoholics!! Nude Footwear and wedges. How could I resist? Oh yeah that’s how .... I am flat broke :-( Oh well a girl can dream. And perhaps have money next time she has to have half of her front tooth restored.

Do also look at the pretty Nude Footwear Spring Catalogue though. See that colour! Love. I can’t advocate for this brand enough. They are so comfortable, even for my hobbit feet. And I get compliments on them every time I wear mine (I have about six pairs mostly sourced from eBay for under $30 so watch for them).

That is all

Outfit Omissions

Wow, I am not so good with the outfit posts of late.

Pretty uninspired and basically just a mix of my last two outfit posts but this is what I wore on Thursday to work. This and the biggest "woe is me" expression you have ever seen. Flu hit home that day. Not that you can tell by the smile. Why I smile for pics when I am going to cut my head off is beyond me. It is just habit.

Most of the crap I have on - You know the drill
Singlet - Country Road

Not the best pic sorry, I lost the light. I fancied myself very House of Eliott 1920's loose layered couture in this outfit.

Now I see I must have been deluded by the flu drugs. I am reading the HOE book by Jean Marsh at present. First the good bits with Jack and Bea and then the whole thing through again. I must have forgotten I stopped reading and had out it down and was living my own life again.

Love, love, love my custom made Jet & Ruby necklace made by my friend Heidi.

And while we are talking fashion, I have had a sudden infusion of green into my wardrobe. Two spur of the moment eBay purchases on the weekend to cement the end of my short lived spending ban.

Yet another silk dress for work. By Karen Walker. Which I just realised will make me look like a tree.

Suit. Vintage Mel Clifford. Cate G's post convinced me I needed more cute suits. How I concluded  this bright green suit was anywhere neat par with Cate's glamorous Chanel-like number is beyond me but it is very flattering and better than my green/yellow/pink one so I will take it. Oh and it cost like thirty bucks so really a win all around.

Man, I really need to go to bed. I am getting dizzy. Nun night,

Stunning Seymours

This what I sported at work yesterday. Why I decided to put together the two pieces from my wardrobe where wrinkles decide to go to die on is beyond me. At least I added a little colour to the dreary day.

Haha, Hi L.

Note the "I am so over today" smile.

Note the mug in the sink. Someone may have left it in their room so long, it grew mould. It was not me. Promise.

Top - Country Road
Skirt - Sussan
Tights - Target
Shoes - Nude Footwear
Belt - Sportscraft
Wrinkles - nature

Oh and some pretties arrived in the mail today. I am on a spending ban so this elation must last me a while. They are so precious, I have not decided whether I will wear them or not yet. Certainly not in this current weather. Original Mr Seymour (Stew's dad - here for further reading). Circa -  god knows when. Anyone have an idea? I will have to pull out my fashion books to see if I can decipher the era from the toe shape.

Oh My ...

... Gad

And look at the box they came in. Not the original I am sure but so quaint.

PS. I am so sorry to anyone who read my paragraphs before I justified them. Bad Fi. I can not stand paragraphs that are not justified. I think this may be a law school thing though. We got marks off if we did not justify. It gives me great pleasure to whisper "Justi-fie" when I click that neat little box.... I never said I wasn't a nerd.

Birthday Blues Begone

Book bound and written by Grandad
Poem written by Granny

We used to get these every year as kids. This one is my favourite. I know this poem off by heart. I very much wish I was going to get one of these this year.

I am feeling very meh about turning 25. It's silly because I know 25 is so young but I feel so old. I think the lack of boyfriend/house/husband/children is making it worse. Not that I am ready for a house or marriage or children but feel that time is ticking away....

I am at work today (obviously working hard) which is always a bit of a downer but I went out to dinner last night with the folks for Indian which was nice. Indian is my ALL TIME FAVOURITE food. Palak Paneer my favourite dish. I have leftovers sitting in the fridge but I forgot them!! :-( Oh and at dinner parentals gave me my gift of  a Tom Tom - haha not exciting but at least I will not get lost soo much. I ALWAYS get lost.

I wore this purely because I failed to pack anything casual to wear to take to house-sitting house. This dress should have been ironed but house-sitting house iron decided to spew dirty crap all over my top the other day so I chose not too. I wanted to wear my new red boots but they looked silly with this dress. Will have to play around with them when I have access to my full wardrobe.

Country Road Dress
Supre Cardigan
Stewart Weitzman Shoes
Scarf from India

Geez the lighting is shocking. The dress is not soo shiny in real life. It also not so sack like.

Me and the puppy match!!

Back to it.

As much as a AWS Streamer-Cape

Yep, whatever that is, that is how much weight I lost this week. Not sure how, as I exercised little and ate lots but I will claim it.

Wardrobe wise, my week has been shitty. No washing or ironing for me over the weekend has left me high and dry.

This is what I wore Tuesday:

Here is a crappy phone pic to give you a better idea of what I was actually wearing.

Barkins Top (which after wearing all day I regret getting as it does not fit properly around my bust, as with all the other Barkins tops you have Fi!!!)
Barkins Skirt
Black Tights
Supre Cardigan (again)
Stewart Weitzman Shoes

Then yesterday, I repeat offended. Already and I have only just started this blog too.

As before - Charlie and Nude.

Today was just the pits. I have been in a shocking mood all day, reflective perhaps of my outfit. All my clothes are starting to get too big which is good but oh so bad at the same time. Only showing these because the cardigan looks pretty against the trees. Lots of grey for a grey day.

Witchery Top
Witchery Skirt
Target Tights
Moss & Spy Cardigan
Country Road Scarf
Sojo Shoes

Oh an I found out that the bottom of my Tupperware water bottle (aka my baby which has now not left my side since I got it, to the extent that I woke up with it in my bed the other morning) is meant for "valuables". So I decided to go about testing how my valuables would fit. Here are the results.

Epic fail Tupperware.

Oh and to prove just HOW MUCH I love MKA Olsen....
Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

OK so both Full House sets are not mine, but this is how they sit in our flat. TWINS!! We also have double movies but I think mine are in my room somewhere.

I think I must go to bed now. Hopefully to wake up on the right side in the morning.

Friday Follies

This is actually what I wore on Thursday but I didn't get around to posting it.

Please excuse the awful morning kitchen photos.

Witchery Skirt
Witchery Top
Supre 7 Way Cardigan
Scarf from India
Random Tights
Dotti Belt
Stewart Weitzman Shoes

This was Friday's outfit.

Sportsgirl Top
Country Road Dress (Ebay - have you looked yet, tut coming soon)
Random Tights
Bare Feet

Do you think my mouth accessory will be a new trend?

Reach Toothbrush

And to welcome me home last night, some goodies waiting for me (although Mr Postman we are going to have talk about this whole shoving my parcels into the tiny mailbox when they can just be left on top like they are half of the time).

I always forget I have a SHOP subscription so it is always a treat when it arrives. As my bedroom light blew, I attempted to read this by torchlight before I went to sleep last night but it was difficult so a cuppa and relaxing time is required later today.

My Stews came. And they are even prettier than I thought they'd be. Not as bright as this picture makes one think though, I just can't turn the flash off my (crappy no wonder parents "gave" it to me, takes photos even when it is pretending the battery is dead) camera.

This is why I love shopping on Etsy. So sweet.

And I maybe have a few parcels waiting for me at the LPO. I am going to be judged BIG TIME for this. The Post Master doesn't even need to look at my red and yellow slip or my ID, he just gets it down from the shelf when he sees me walking in and gives it to me (usually with a "witty" comment attached). I dread going to the Post Office but alas it must be done so I can get my goodies.

I don't even know what is waiting for me......

And a random photo that uploaded with the rest. Twas very funny when I noticed how chic the Camphor looked hanging there between MKA.
