I am at work. It's 6.22pm on a Friday night. PARTY animal am I huh. Anywho, at 5.47pm, knowing how I am always running late for EVERYTHING, I ordered my Wagamama dinner (yes lots of peeps clicked BUY so the voucher is activated and it was very exciting for me to order my dinner online - far too exciting now that I think of it - $26 worth for $13 - BARGAIN) for pick up at 6.47pm. It only takes about 5mins to get there from here so not such good thinking after all as I have lost the plot and despite having LOTS of work to do (I know what my weekend will entail; had to get my editor to check that one as I am a shocking speller) I can not concentrate any longer and really just want to go home.
So while my dinner cooks, I thought I'd take some office chic photos of what I am wearing today - haha.
The full body shot (with a smile)
The with jacket (that maybe doesn't fit as well as I thought although I haven't been able to do it up for years so YAY) against the funky pink wall shot
The looks like I am doing a weird pose but I just actually lost my footing and nearly stacked it back shot
Anyway. Deats - Dress is Lisa Ho which I got off Ebay in about November last year. It was this dress versus a Marc my MJ dress (the red and brown one Lily wore on HIMYM in I think season 4). I lost the MJ but won this. Problem was that is was too tight and I could not breathe while wearing it. One of the best things about losing weight is that this dress fits. I F'n love it to death. Top and Tights are Target. Love Target for basics. Shoes are surprise surprise Nude Footwear (can't do white letters dammit). Half my shoes collection is Nude. I love their shoes as they are stylish and comfortable. They also fit my fat, wide, bunion riddled "hobbit" feet (my boss actually told me I had hobbit feet once - thanks Bossco). I feel really great in this outfit. It probably needs an iron though (another fun weekend job).
Fate also passed my way today. I was walking into the coffee shop and it hit me that I NEEDED a skirt with a bicycle pattern. That is lots of pictures of bikes all over it. I think I was subconsciously reviewing Blonde Salad’s recent blog from the other day about matching skirts. Yes I have checked, and that is where I was getting it from. MY skirt however will be navy with white large (CD sized) bikes (isn’t bike such an ugly word compared to bicycle) and either a-line or pencil shaped (my imagination had not got that far). Then I decided that I didn’t just need a bicycle skirt, but I needed a whole wardrobe full of clothing covered in large animal/object-orientated patterns (hello Miu Miu influence).
Well, I had not been back in the office but two minutes when secy came to talk about electric blankets and reminded me that I had not checked my online sale stores yet. So, what did I do next, I went to Ozsale and discovered this Amelio dress in all its glory for $359 OFF!! Face Dress + Belt + Tights = Fabbo. You may not believe me now but trust me, the dress will win you over. Ugly is the new ... not ugly.

Now I have never heard of Amelio, and I could not locate any information about the brand online but it is 100% silk and it has bloody (not bloody bloody Looloo, you don’t have to look away) large colourful faces on it. So once again, I HAD to have it.
I also HAD to have this peacock one. I am not 100% sold on the neckline but I figure I can hack it up and make it look better, or convince mother it was her idea to offer that she fix it for me :-)
I nearly HAD to have this butterfly one but I decided the shape was not me.
Oh, shit, it’s now 6.35 – need to go get dinner. BWB.
Ok so I am back. It's 9.12. Best friend slash housemate and I just spent about an hour sitting on the couch next to each other with our computers on our laps and ABC 3 "WE'RE BACK TOMMORROW FROM 6.00AM" screen muted on the tv while we blogged (ok I blogged, she was reading blogs). We are a little odd sometimes. Once and a while, we will sit within touching distance and have lengthy discussions (or slagging each other off sessions) on facebook. Makes sense huh.
Dinner was yum btw. The guy at Wagamama obviously thought I had ordered too much food as he said "You'll want two sets of chopsticks right?". I said no. Maybe he just thought I was just so stunningly beautiful and stylish that I just must be taking dinner home to my boyfriend/fiancé/husband/significant other. He would be wrong there though. This gal generally only eats for one :-( In reality I just ordered two entrees, rice and miso. And anyway, I can't use chopsticks. I eat too quickly to take the slow torture of picking and eating tiny pieces of food bit at a time. And the crappy Wagamama ones give me the heebie-jeebies, like nail files or newspaper. Not that I am picky.
On an end note, apparently that is a hat, not a tree.
Sarah J, why do you let them do this you? You are such a classic classy candid girl. You are Sarah J. The character you play, Carrie, wears things like trees on her head, not you. If you give them a chance, people might be able to catch on there is a difference. I know it is probably just written in your contract but you are SJP, get out of it.
Ok, so I must be written in your contract....
That is all

I was nearly going to comment and say, "I have been reduced to your editor now?" but you redeemed yourself by saying best friend slash housemate later on. We are obviously awesome!
Love the alliteration in your title, haha.
I love the look of that jacket with that Lisa Ho dress. Very glad the dress fits now, because it looks f'n great on you.
It SO looks like a tree.
Haha.It was not alliterated (don't think that is a word) but then I changed it last minute - silly tired brain for you. It took a while to get it right though. Had to leave out the "for" Wagamama - now I know I could have left it in. WE ARE AWESOME.
And thanks :-)
So is a tree
I love the dress yo are wearing. I also love how you manage to make it work for the cooler weather. That is one of my life's many missions- to be able to wear summer dresses year round.I am also in love with the peacock dress.
Thanks :-)
My trick to wearing summer dresses in winter. Get good tight basic long sleeved tees (target is good) and try to layer everything. It's pretty hit and miss but usually works well with black or if you pick one colour from the dress to match.
